TribalPages is pleased to announce its new Reporting features for all its Family Tree websites. In addition to the realtime graphical ancestor, descendant and family charts, TribalPages members can now generate various printable reports (with pictures) for any name in their Family Tree. Some of the Narrative Reports being offered are Ahnentafel (aka Ancestor), Descendant and Family Group Charts.
Printable Narrative Reports
While graphical charts are easier to navigate on a computer screen they do pose some printing challenges. Large charts, spanning several generations, are difficult to fit on standard printer paper.
In addition to being easier to print, our narrative reports contain a great amount of detail. Included in each report are dates and places of birth, death and marriage of ancestors, descendants, their spouses and children. They may also contain Events (like Christening, Religion etc), Sources and Citations.
Currently TribalPages offers three different flavors of Reports (with more in the pipeline). Each report is customizable to include or exclude details like photographs and notes.
Report Types
- Pedigree Reports show the ancestry of a particular person. Starting with the selected person, the ancestry (birth parents) of each generation are traced. An Ahnentafel is a genealogical numbering system that allows one to list a person's ancestors in a particular order.
- A Descendant Report is a listing an individual's descendants (children, grandchildren... and spouses), with a maximum of seven generations. The report is conveniently divided into numbered generations.
- Each Family Group Sheet presents genealogical information about a single family - a husband, a wife, and their children. It includes birth, death and marriage dates and and places.
