My interest in my Genealogy was sparked by a casual remark by my cousin Catherine Ann "Kay" Charbonneau, about being related to a Saint (a blessed actually). I asked who this Saint was (Mother Esther Blondin) and how are we related? The obsession began ! You can trace my family line and Esther Blondin's family line to find out. My research led me to another Blessed ancestor Marie Leonie(Elodie)Paradis Founder of the Little Sisters of the Holy Family.

Doing the research on the various names in my background I have come across "the Morris dancers" a Charbonneau grape (evidently makes a great wine)the Tribe of Dan (Nolan Family)a mountain in Oregon named after John B. Yeon & State Scenic Corridor.

I have found that Anderson of Scotland and Northern England means"servant of St. Andrew"(son of Andrew)and that Irving or Irvine Anderson means these Andersons came from the Irvine County of Dumfriesshire.

"Irvine: of territorial origin, Irving in Dumfriesshire and Irvine in Ayrshire; the Dumfriesshire parish was the chief source of the name; the charter of the Barony of Drum dates from1324; an offshoot of the Aberdeenshire family appears in Shetland in the mid-1500s; in Northern Ireland, the name has become confused with the Irish Erwin" From Black, George F. The Surnames of Scotland. Edinburgh: Birlinn, 1999 (first published by the New York Public Library, 1946).

Much of the information on the Morris family I obtained from a website ancestorhost where a family researcher Mr Maloughney pulled it together. His cousin my mother Marie Charbonneau helped him with the Mary Ann Morris side of the family.

I have met over the internet four very helpful family researchers. All are relatives in some form who I was unaware of before my search began.
