It was during the Blizzard of 1978, when I first started this endeavor of researching our family history. At that time, my then husband, David Rich and I discovered a treasure trove of family documents stashed away under the attic eves. We were amazed at what we had found, civil war documents, letters, photos, etc. Hence my driven passion to solve many unanswered questions.
Through my 40 plus years of research, I have made many amazing discoveries. Our family line has multiple ties to Royalty, Mayflower Pilgrims, Salem Witch Trials and so much more. On a humorous note, I discovered that David was not only my husband, but my 4th cousin as well through several line. Oh, the tangled web we have woven in our family!
Unfortunately, David pass away before I completed this. Sometimes when I made a new discovery, I would be sad because he wasn't here to share it with. Then in my mind, I would hear him laughing his ass off! That he was watching and he already knew the answers!

"Each man is a branch of a stout oak tree. After storm and stress it will stronger be; In sun it should grow to its proudest size. Its roots in old earth, its crown in the skies. A branch is then what a man may be -- Part of the strength of the family tree." - A Bates "Rime"
