About Barlow Family Tree
Please sign in to see more. Welcome to Barlow Family Tree.To begin I have to thank my Aunt,Joyce Crawford nee Barlow who handed to my brother Ted 4 sheets of paper 40cm by 30cm titled the Barlow family,Ted then passed it onto me and that is how it all started. On these 4 sheets of paper was the name of Uncles and first cousins I didn't know about. Well the names on these sheet were of my Dad's Four brothers and One sister. The brother Charles,William,Randall and Albert and one sister Joyce.as it turns out Joyce is my Dad's half sister, you learn something new everyday.Of the brothers Three I didn't have a clue about let alone about their families but Albert I did know, he was of light build and liked to tend the garden over in Lansvale, NSW where he live with his sister Joyce and her husband George Crawford and he was deaf as a badger There are stories that Albert liked to go on a bit of a walkabout and would sleep anywhere he could lay his head. I presume it was in his younger days as I have no memory of it. Also on these sheets was a little note which reads (Percival Barlow St Botolph's Bishopsgate mother Sarah father Randall 29/11/1825).
THE SEARCH BEGINS.
After placing inquires in the In Search column in the Daily Telegraph contact was made with the Descendents of my grandfather's brothers and sisters, who I would like to thank also for making this project a lot easier, they are Eliza Franks, Alf & Robyn Watkins,Susan & Peter Wild, Trish & Mark Cassar and Sandra & Peter Guthrie. Thanks to Sandra for her pages on tribalpages.com it gave me the motivation to place the Barlow Family Tree on this site.
LETS ADD A BIT OF MYSTERY TO THE BARLOW FAMILY TREE.
1. Percival Barlow Baptism St Botolp's Church Bishopsgate 29/11/1829.Father Randall Mother Sarah. Who are they where do they fit I don't know do you?.
2. Why would anyone take their two young sons from good Olde Sydney Town on a Sailing Ship and go to a place called Wagin in Western Australia to work for a Brickmaking Company (Wagin Bricks) when you could do the same thing in Olde Sydney Town?. Who knows? but Wagin is about 280 K's South East of Perth On a very good road in a modern car, not in 1904 on a dirt track more than likely by horse and cart.
3. Why for a change of life style, don't think so. How many people would have heard of Wagin in 1904 in Olde Sydney Town?, not many I would think.
4 Who told them about Wagin and the Brickworks, did someone ring them up and tell them about Wagin, not many had a phone in 1904,bid they see it on the telly just joking, or the good old Telegram? that leads to the next question.
5. Was there any relatives living in Wagin at the time?, are any of there descendents still living in Wagin? the answer to this is unknown at present and might never be known, but I think the good old Telegram by a Relo is a lot closer to the mark than phone.
