About The Blitzer Family
Please sign in to see more.
In 2003, my grandson, Brandon Hass, was born. He is the third generation born in the United States. I wanted to be certain that my grandson always remembers where his family comes from and that he is a part of this rich and varied heritage. And so this geneology was begun. The skeleton of this family tree came from old papers my father, George Stein, had, many of which came from my grandparents, Ernest and Margaret Stein. I also had information I gathered as a young man from my Blitzer grandparents and from my great Aunt Paula Fass in France I have tracked down many 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins in the United States and England who have also helped fill in their parts of the family tree. Heinz Weiser, before his death at 101, used his incredible memory to help me put pieces together. I have gathered photos from many sources, but especially from my cousin, Eli Blitzer, who had a treasure trove of photos his father, Edward Blitzer, taken in the 1920's and 30's in Poland and Germany. When I finally figure out how, I will attempt to add the photos into this record. Since the birth of my second grandchild, Mira Hass, and the birth of my sister's grandchildren, Garrett Mayover,Eva Friedman and Max Friedman, I have attempted to add as much of their family's history as possible also. I hope someone cares about all this someday. Dr. Allan John Stein

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
