About The Moore/Hopkins, Robinson/Clowes Families
This is just the start of what I hope will be a useful and fun site. Some time ago, my computer crashed and I lost several years worth of work. I am slowly getting it pieced back, working from hard copies and notes. The credit for most of the Moore information needs to go to Letha Moore Brunnell and Shelley Hallman. They have done a huge amount of Moore research.
Cordt Thobaben has supplied the Thobaben information. To all the other "cousins" out there who have been so generous, a large thank you.
Thanks to Tribal Pages I can save it to the
internet and make it available to family and other researchers. Please let me know if you find errors or have additions. Remember...Even official documents can be in error, so always check out sources. And...You will not always be able to find documentation and the reasons for that are legion.
I do not do this because I'm writing a book or do ancestor worship. I do it because I enjoy history and this helps bring it alive and because I love a good mystery. Learning what my ancestors did with their lives is interesting, fun, perplexing and sometimes disturbing,but...all that has no bearing on what I do with my life or who I am some 200 years or more later. As to cold hard data proving anything..It really doesn't matter if my grandmother was born in 1900 or 1901. She was born. That is what ultimately counts. So as you research keep this in mind. You will not be hanged because uncle so and so was a crook, and likewise, you will not get any awards because ggggg grandfather whositz signed the Mayflower Compact. So just relax, have fun and follow the clues they left behind. I have taken on 2 cousins as co-administrators. They have more consistent computer access than I do, so are able to go in and make corrections, and additions as they get them.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
