This website was started in 2007 after four years of collaboration by six cousins who found we were descended from various branches of the dynasty Regan from Caharagh and Leary from Drimoleague  in County Cork.  These six cousins, living in different parts of the US, have found we were all  related to various descendents of Jeremiah and Ellen.  Many of us have become friends and we share  the desire for accuracy.
 Jeremiah Regan and Ellen Cain were married on February 13, 1822 in  Glanatnaw (Glounathnaw, Caharagh, County Cork, Ireland.  They had at least ten  children; and most lived in Ireland although one or more lived in Wales.   Most of their grandchildren left Ireland for England, Wales and the United States.  Some moved on to California, Illinois, Louisiana, Montana, Utah.   This is their story and includes  those they married and their families.  NAMES ARE SPELLED AS THEY ARE WRITTEN ON THE EXTRACTS.   Most of the original documents were extremely difficult to read due to damage from water and time  and you may see several spellings for an individual.
 We hope you enjoy the many photographs; they are divided into family albums and we add to them  frequently. They will remain on the website for another year but when I retire the site reverts to  a free version and photographs are limited.
