About My Family Tree
Please sign in to see more.
Welcome to my website and thank you for taking the time to visit.

I first became interested in researching my family history in 2004. With some snippets of information gained from my Mum, I began a voyage of discovery which I am still persuing today.

My journey has been both frustrating and rewarding. The frustrations have been based on family rifts that have been carried through the ages, resulting in many existing family members having little or no knowledge of their ascendants. This has hampered my journey. On the bright side, I have had contact with many people who share my enthusiasm for family history and they have been more than willing to share photographs and information. I have met an aunt I did not know I had and visited a distant relative in Bedford for a family reunion. I have made contact with some of my mother's cousins who lost contact with my mum many years ago. These wonderful people were able to provide photographs of my Maternal Grandmother who died aged 27 when my mother was only 6 years old, therefore I never had the opportunity to know her.

I would like to thank everybody who supplied photographs and gave permission for them to be used on my site, in particular, Gwendoline Wayne, Janet Rayner, Shirley Jennings and Peter Rex Brawn.

Once you have had a look around, please spare a moment to sign my guest book if you feel inclined.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
