About Peterson Anderson-Fredriksson Family

The main focus of this website is to detail the family histories of John E. Peterson and Augusta Josefina Anderson, who both came to America in 1887. These are my family's first imigrants from Sweden, and this website is about them and their families.

I have recently found ancestor information on John E. Peterson after many years of research. My excitement in finding that info, and my desire to share it is the main reason for starting this website! I'm happy that other family members can access and share this information! I have posted links so you can download a .pdf file and see the copy of original microfilm of John E Peterson's Birth Record, his family listed in a census type document, a birth record of his mother, and his death certificate that contains information about a mystery woman!

Thanks to work done by Donna Roethler, we have quite a bit of information on Augusta Josefina Anderson's ancestors, her brothers and other family descendants. I have finally included all the names from "Donna's Bible" "The Descendants of Fredrik Andersson and Maria Casja Hakansdotter".

Another reason I started this website is to have a repository of information our family can go to to share stories and pictures along with getting info about our shared family history. I hope you find this information helpful in your family history research, and please, by all means if you have some pictures you would like to share and post here or stories to share, send me a note, and I will be happy to get them posted!

IT IS GREAT MEETING NEW FAMILY MEMBERS!
I wanted to express how great it is to meet new members of our extended family! Over the last few weeks I have met many family members from the Andersson/Fredriksson family. I've even met some of the family in Sweden(online of course)! It is a pleasure to meet you!

HISTORY'S MYSTERIES
Did John Peterson know Augusta Anderson when they lived in Sweden? Both Augusta & John were going to Chicago when they came to America, Who were they going to live with?
Who is Edward Rudolph Anderson, and what was he doing in French West Africa when he died? Who is Nils Joseph Fredriksson, and why did he live in Washington D.C.?

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
