**ATTENTION**
FIRST THING here is my email address..dcvmemere5956@gmail.com so you can contact me DIRECTLY about our family tree to update any information. I get the information from other family members and sometimes the names have changed and dates need to be altered for what ever reason. Thank you for checking out our family tree. There is a lot of family history here. I enjoyed making the tree and it's great watching grow.
Recently my brother Jason Bates and I had our DNA done through MyHeritage.com. We wanted to see what our family ancestors were and where they came from. We were most definitely surprised. With all the French heritage and ancestors we have, NOT a bit of French is in our DNA. I don't know how to explain it but the DNA doesn't lie. There's a link in the left collum in USEFUL LINKS if you care to see it.
The BREAU Family began in the 1600's in La Chaussee, Vienne, France. Vincent BRAULT left France and went to Acadia Canada, where he married Marie Marguerite BOURG. They had 12 children. Their family grew as all families do and down the line the spellings of the last name changed, BRAULT to BREAULT to BREAU. As did the name of BOURG to BOURC to BOURQUE. In the 6th generation of BREAU, there is (was) GEORGE BREAU born in 1793 married a woman by the name of Adelaide BOURQUE. The Family Tree has come full circle. The names criss cross through the generations. This makes reading interesting and yes at times a bit confusing. But be realistic, NOBODY'S family
tree extends straight up. Our's sure takes some twists and turns. BUT this is not just Pepere's (Lionel Alfred Joseph Breau) side of the tree. Memere's side The DUPUIS side of the family starts with Priscilla Lionell DUPUIS. She married Lionel Alfred Joseph BREAU. Her Grandparents Nazaire LANGLOIS and Delima Rose Marie VALLIERE/LANGLOIS. The family line with the VALLIERE name I have going back to 1629 on the Valliere side and 1590 on the Breau side. Also papers documenting that land-grants given to Joseph VALLIERE who was DON'd by a Spanish King and given a land-grant along the boarders of Louisianna, Arkansas and Missouri with the Mississippi River running thru it, dated in October 24,1793 and December 22,1793 on the certificate of survey by Charles Trudeau- Surveyor General, Don' Carlos Trudeau, The Royal and private surveyor of the province of Louisianna. You can read the land-grant information on my webpage. Just click on the webpage link below. Happy Reading.
Thank you, Debbie Valosich
