About The Deed Family
I have been researching my family history for many years now and slowly I am breaking down some brick walls that I had come upon. Without the help of cousins and relatives most of who I have never met or spoken to personally I could never have accomplished as much as I have and to them I am very thankful.
Thankyou to Richard Doig, Alison Deed, Geoff Deed, Vicki Deed, Janine Hand, Bill Curnow, Sue Boyce, Barry James, Peter Hooper, Joyce Weeks, Jim Best, Joan Matthews for all your help. Of course there are many others
who have helped and I thank them too.
This tree is dedicated to all those who went before us and paved the way for us to be where we are today. Our ancestors truly are a part of us and who we are.

"A Prayer For Genealogists"

Lord, help me dig into the past,
 And sift the sands of time;
That I might find the roots that made
 This family tree of mine.

Lord, help me trace the ancient roads,
 On which my fathers trod;
And led them through so many lands,
 To find our present sod.

Lord, help me find an ancient book
 Or dust manuscript,
 That's safely hidden now away
 In some forgotten crypt.

Lord, let it bridge the gaps that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

~ Curtis Woods ~
**************************************************************************************************** Doing our medieval ancestry I used a lot of different resources and web sites, and learnt quite a bit of english history as I was researching. Dates and names vary a lot depending on which site you go into or what history book you have been researching> I apologise for any mistakes I have made while doing this part of my tree, if you find something you think is wrong or you can add to anything please let me know.
Some of the resources I used are: The Peerage.com, http://www3.dcs.hull.ac.uk/genealogy/royal/, DeBretts Peerage, Royal Genealogies Website, http://www.tudorplace.com **************************************************************************************************** Our Ancestors, those who are near
Impressing on memories in our hearts and minds
Engraved upon the sentient layers of our souls
Inherited stories passing down through time
From Grandparents, parents, to the children
Our kin, our kind, our living blood line
Passed on are their tales of echoed legend
 Giving life meaning, creating connection
Cut ties with the Ancestors and we lose our direction
Losing sight of our line and familiar protection
Our sense of belonging is hidden from sight
Lost in distant dreams that pass in the night
We become veiled from the ancient path that leads us here
The way of our Ancestors, those who are near.
Call on the Ancestors and they Will surely come
To show us how we, are already One.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
