About BAILEY'S BROOD
Please sign in to see more.
My name is Ed Bailey. I have an extensive listing of names from the Lancashire, and Cheshire, England area on the Bailey tree. The Baileys were carpenters and mostly came from Blackburn. The Simpson tree traces back to the Douglas Clan. I have followed the tree starting in Kirkcudbright in southwest Scotland. It traces directly to James Douglas companion of Robert the Bruce when he defeated the English. When Robert ruled he restored the Douglas land and title and Clan; hence known as the Black Douglas for his aggression in raids on the English. Later he carried Robert the Bruce's heart on a Crusade against the Moors in Spain and was killed during the battle at Teba, Spain. My mothers family is the Carey clan. They started with the Norman invasion in Castle Cary in southern England through the Plymouth Colony and the Revolutionary War to Port Huron, Michigan. I can refer you to a listing of the Normans if that would help your search. I am validating and adding to this site as fast as I can. Be patient and feel free to contact me at
ebailey@rgv.rr.com . NOTE: Watch the movie Outlaw King about Robert Bruce. The Knight fighting by his side is James Douglas (see the three stars on his armor. Great depiction of him.

The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
