About O'Hara/Sharpe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bret Sharpe on March 19th, 2024. Born on January 11, 1978, Bret was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. His family and all who knew him will deeply miss his warmth and infectious laughter.

Bret's love for his family and friends was unwavering. He was a devoted son and brother, always offering a helping hand and support. As an uncle, his playful spirit and endless patience brought joy to his nephews. He will be remembered for his kind heart and adventurous spirit.

Bret is survived by parents Kevin and Glenda, siblings Kristy and Troy (Jackie), in addition to four nephews Reily (Ally), Brady, Ryan and Leo.

A private family service will be held on Thursday, March 28th at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Please join family and friends to celebrate Bret’s life on March 30th, 2-6p at The Alamo, 115 N. 5th Street, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bret's favorite charity, Shriners Children's (lovetotherescue.org).

Bret Forevermore In the quiet of night, when stars weep, A tender soul took flight; earthly bonds unbound. The moon, a silent witness, shed its silver tears, As memories danced like shadows across the room. Yet, Bret was a sunbeam, a laughter-filled echo, A wondrous weave of dreams etched in our hearts. His voice, bright notes that linger in the air, Like a familiar, but bittersweet melody. His room, frozen in time, is now a quiet space, Where whispers of love linger between the walls. The ache of missing him resides as our silent companion, Yet the love there endures, transcending the silence. So, In the still of the evening, we'll seek solace, where the twinkling night sky connects us to eternity. We'll see that Bret is not gone; he resides in every sunset, In the rustle of leaves and the morning dew. We'll honor Bret's memory, With tears and laughter, stories shared. For love never dies; it transforms, A celestial dance across the vast expanse. Rest in peace, Dear Bret, among those stars, Where our grief and your love intertwine... forevermore. d 3/22/2024
