About My Branch of the Amadon/Amidon Family Tree
This Web Page is About My Branch of the Amadon/Amidon Family Tree, and all the extened families.
Welcome to my little twig of the Great Amadon/Amidon Family Tree. The Amidon name no matter what the spelling, has been ascertained, by extensive research, and inquiry, to descend from one common ancestor Roger Ammidowne. This mighty tree has been growing in the United States and in Canadian soils from the early 1600`s. It`s among the first colonist`s names of Massachusetts Bay, the name first appears on record in the American colonies in the Towne of Salem, then known by it`s Native American name of Naumkeag. The name has been found variously spelled, as follows; Amiedown, Amiedowne, Ammeydowne, Ammidown, Aimedoune, Amiden, Amadon, Amidon, and as stated at the head of this record. Come on in, and do some exploring, climb my family tree, and check out the photo album. Let me know what you think, please sign the guest book, and drop me a line at Jacksbranch@aol.com. I would love to share my family history with you as well as receive family information that I can add to this tree. Remember this is an on going work in progress, and I can use help in growing this tree. I have been researching my branch for the last twelve years. If you have any information, or photo`s you would like to share I would gladly add them to this site, please feel free to email me at the above address. I would like to thank all the family members who have shared family histories, photo`s and stories to make this site what it is.
Thanks for taking time to explore hope you enjoyed yourself.
