John Dale Crawford, one of five  children. John Dale Crawford (Me) the only boy with four  sisters. My four sisters are Shirley Ann, Janis Fay, Margaret Evelyn and Carolyn Annette. I was born on the "Ham Place" near Senatobia Mississippi. The HAM PLACE which is located after the  deep 90 degree turns on Country Club Road exiting the city of Senatobia, Mississippi.  When John  (ME)was one year old, the family - John Aubrey Crawford and Hazel E Sinquefield Crawford with  sisters Shirley Ann and Janis Fay Crawford moved outside Savage, Mississippi on the "Hot" Moore  farm. John Dale started to school at Arkabutla Elementary at 5 year of age. The younger sisters  Margaret and Carolyn were born 1944 and 1946. The Crawford family moved to the small town of  Savage, Ms where mother ran a grocery and dad was in a logging operation in the Arkabulta Bottom  near Coldwater, Mississippi. John entered Tunica County Grammar School in the middle of the fourth  grade. They lived upstairs in the Ritchey Bottling Works Building in Tunica. Our telephone number  was 10-J. Then begining in the ninth grade we moved to Route #3  Dundee, Mississippi around  the "Walnut Lake Area". John and his two younger sisters  Margaret and Carolyn rode the school bus  to Dubbs,MS where my two youngest sisters attended and John transfered to another  bus that went  on to Tunica High School.  Pat Edwards was the driver. He finished Tunica High School in 1957 and  entered the Air Force in Memphis Tennessee. June 6, 1957 AFSN 14646490. After 4 years he was  honorably discharged on June 5, 1961 at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington at the Rank of Airman  Second Class. He returned to Clarksdale, Ms and attended Mississippi State University as a Southern  Bell Telephone CO-OP Field Engineer. His mother Hazel Crawford passed away in 1960. He then lived  with his father and his father's 2nd wife Claudie Rakestraw Crawford on Iowa Street in Clarksdale,  Ms. He married  Ellen Wells McMorrough June 13, 1965 in Abreedeen MS. Ellen and John moved to  Eupora, Mississippi where Ellen worked in the  extension service. They moved to Starkville, MS where Ellen was employed at Felix Long Hospital and John finished Mississippi State University in  Electrical Engineering (BSEE) Jan 1968. His first of three sons was born Jan 9, 1968 in Starkville  MS. The family of three and  cat "seamore" moved to Owensboro Ky and John started to work for the  GE Tube Plant in Feb 1968. Son  Daniel was born Dec 30, 1969 and son Andrew was born April 11,   1978.
  John received an US Patent on July 7, 1971 (pat # 3594662) for a microwave high frequency tube  oscillator. In July 1979 the family moved to Lynchburg, VA where John was a mobile radio design  engineer (800 Mhz base station) then mobile (170 Mhz hand held telephone) designs. His father  passed away in Sept 1982 in Clarksdale, MS. Family then moved to Crofton, Maryland on Jan 3,1983 and  he became a Radio Frequency (rf) Senior Scientist with Litton AMECOM Div. College Park, MD. John Jr  graduated from Arundel High School in 1986, and started Penn State in finance. In 1986 they moved  to West Chester,PA where John was a senior principal RF Design hardware engineer at GE Aerospace  (Miltary and Data Systems Operation, M&DSO)) in Valley Forge (King of Prussia), PA. Son Daniel  obtained a degree in broadcast communication from Mississippi State University and went to  Anchorage, AK with CBS TV station. He married Shelly Hill Crawford and lives in Charlotte, NC. Third son Andrew obtain a mechanical engineering degree BSME from Mississippi State University and started  working for Du Pont in South Carolina. Son John Jr. receiver BS from Penn State 1990 and a  Master in Finance from Seton Hall, NJ in 1993. John Jr. worked for AT&T in New Jersey. Later moved  to Plano, Texas and now lives in Denver, CO. John Jr. has worked for AT&T then Lucent and presently  with First Data as the CFO in Denver,CO. In April 2000 John Sr. retired with 31 years service with   GE - Martin Marietta - Lockheed Martin Aerospace. These three company were the same group. GE  Aerospace was sold in 1993 to Martin Marietta and then merged with Lockheed in 1995 to become  Lockheed Martin Aerospace. John was in the Management and Data Operation (M&DS) name change from  Military to Management in mid 1990's. John, Jr married Kim Szostak in Dallas, TX May 1999 John,Jr  and Kim have two daughters: Aubrey Ann 12 and Lily Ann 9 yrs (as of Aug 2014). Daniel and Andrew  finished at Mississippi State. Daniel married Shelly Hill and now lives in Charlotte,NC. Daniel has his photography and video making business -Crawford Productions. Daniel and Shelly have two boys  Aidan 8 and Benjamin 7 and daughter Elizabeth Leigh 5. Andrew is single and lives in North  Charleston, SC plant Engineer a new Dupont plant built in 2011. Andrew now an engineer at urban  lighting co. started 2014, charleston, SC.  Apr 2000 John retired from Lockheed Martin Aerospace,  Valley Forge, PA and moved to 4779 Annesdale, Olive Branch, MS 38654. John Sr and Ellen moved to 809  Woodruff Place, Charlotte, NC 28208 in Aug 2012.
