About John McCullough's Families
PLEASE SIGN MY GUEST BOOK.

My paternal grandfather, George Robert
McCullough was the first of our Irish
McCullough family born in America after
immigrating in the early 1850's.  My
 paternal grandmother Nellie Rebecca Mace
traces her ancestry back to late 17th century
when the families came from Scotland, Ireland
and England to the English colonies of
 Pennsylvania,Connecticut, Massachusetts
 and Maryland.

On the other side, my maternal
 grandfather, Wroightsley/William Clifton
White (Did he really have a name like that?) has solid
roots in the American soil going back to
early 1700's in Virginia and North
 Carolina.  My maternal grandmother, Emma
Mueller, was the first of our Mueller
family born in the United States after her
 father, Gustav, and grandfather, August,
 immigrated from Wurttemburg, Germany in
 1848.

So,half of the paternal and maternal sides
 are fairly recent immigrants (three
generations each in America), while the
other half of both sides (paternal:
 seven,and maternal: nine generations) contributed
early to the development of the United
 States,offering many patriots who
participated in the Revolutionary War and
 before.

Read the "Stories" below for some
interesting ancestor events and a listing
of some ancestors who fought in the
Revolutionary War.
