About Klausen/Lathrop/Cook/Halstead family tree
(UPDATE!!!! I have upgraded the site to highest tier with all the accompanying cool stuff. 5/2/2014. I would invite you, to fill in in your section, whomever I missed.)
Welcome. This is a new BETA version of my family blood line. I have consulted with some of the finest
minds around the world to provide you with this comprehensive work that is always in progress.
I started this family tree from scratch using a program called MyHeritage which I still use to edit. Ancestry.com was limited in its usefulness in that it wanted to charge people who came to my tree in order to see what I had written!!!!!!!!!!! This information should be available to anyone, mostly free of charge. I do not ask for nor receive payment for this project. I only ask that you use this in a non-commercial and non-religious context. I have set privacy of living family members to "on" to
deter ID Thieves.
I wish to thank Mark Klausen, Birthe Mylius Grønvold Kroman, Susanne Rosengaard, and all the lovely ladies down at the Genealogisk Forum https://www.facebook.com/groups/genealogiskforum/ for the hard work of translating and transcribing Danish church records as well as other recordkeeping. Again this
is a work in progress. I do not guarantee 100% accuracy at all times and anything is subject to change. I do try to keep everything lined up.

Getting Around There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool. |
