About Cabell and Rutherford Family
Hello we are Larry and Shirley Cabell Rutherford of McDowell co WV. This is our
 family history.
 **RUTHERFORD**
The Rutherford`s were from Anderson co Tennessee and can be traced back to Julius and Rhoda Rutherford. Their son John Rutherford is my direct line. John was a farmer and lived in several counties around Anderson co. About 1922 my dad Robert `Bob` Rutherford moved to Warriormines WV and was a coalminer. **MUNCY**
The Muncy/Muncey family can be traced back to Samuel Muncy Lawrence co Ky. They moved
into Tazewell/McDowell co WV about 1840 and lived in the Sandy River district. They were farmers and were the first settlers of Bradshaw WV. **HAGERMAN**
The Hagerman family is also from Lawrence co Ky. They move in the Sandy River district about the same time the Muncy family did. Family history has it they may have traveled together from Ky.
 **CABELL**
The Cabell/Cabbell/Cavil family can be traced back to William Cabell of Casey and Adair co
Ky. 1810. They were farmers and were the early settlers of Casey co Ky. They lived there until about 1917 and moved to Warriormines WV. To work in the coalmines.
 **MCELROY**
The McElroy family we have very little information on them. We know that James McElroy lived in Anderson Co Tn. in 1910. About 1917 they moved to Warriormines
 WV.
 **MOORE**
The Moore family also lived in Anderson co Tn. in 1910. We know that John Moore
moved to Warriormines WV. about 1917. John was a coalminer his wife may have died in Tn. Three of his children moved here with him.
