I have enjoyed adding many pictures and data on this site, which I have  collected for years. I am also very grateful to my sister, Pam, for her help.   She has scanned in a number great pictures, herself.

There are numerous surnames which have a great deal of detail.  The Drakes,  Carleys, Lamoreaux, Whitesides, Andersons, and Listons.  Pam is adding the  Campbell family in more detail, and I can direct questions about them, to  her.

Freda Peterson, our second cousin, has written numerous books about the  Silverton, CO cemetery.  There is much genealogy in those works.

Another author in our direct line is Allan Steele, who recently published a  book, called "The French Pilot."  It tells the true story of Andre' Lamoreaux and his adventures in coming from France, to NY.  He is my generation's seventh great grandfather.

We also can catch a glimpse of our ancestors, the Whitesides, in several books  which refer to them: Echoes of Their Voices, Captains of the Wilderness and  The Blackhawk Wars.

I hope you enjoy the site.  It has been very interesting and enjoyable working  on it.
