**This introduction was written by my father Irenee Remi Lebel when he created this site in 2007. This site was his work in putting together much documentation and resources from many sources. Personal visits to places in France, where he and my mother worked to find links to Clement, as well as many letters, and email to both family and others that had information and historical knowledge of our family tree.
My father passed away on December 2nd, 2014 (on my 51st birthday). I have since then taken on the task of keeping this as up to date as I can with my limited family connections. My goal is to try to maintain his work and to hopefully share it with all who wish to see the deep history of our family. If anyone chances upon this and has input to its information, please contact me.
Best to all,
Tom Lebel
