About The McNairs and many others
Please sign in to see more.
Although the McNairs in this family tree go back to 1745 in Virginia, I will be concentrating on McNairs (and those "others" related to them) that settled in north Missouri. The founding "father", Lee Bruce McNair, is the focus point. Lee Bruce married Virginia, aka Jenny, Ratliff in 1878 and started farming in the "Forks of the River" area of Grundy county, Missouri. There are McNairs and Ratliffs still living in Grundy county at this writing. And I hope to bring them into this project soon, along with other McNairs that have "moved West"... Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, Washington to name a few places. Most of the McNairs no longer have the last name of McNair, it seems the male members were few. I have included my mother's families, Burgess, Hild, in this Tree, most of those are found out West. I have added Mary Croy's, my wife for 50+ years, family tree to this site for my children's sake. The Croys, Cookseys, Rays, and Swans, have been in north Missouri since the middle 1800s. It would be wonderful to bring them into the project also!!

So, all those families named--PLEASE e-mail me at lee.mcnair@gmail.com. I will be adding stories and photos in the very near future and I want to add YOUR stories and photos, too. P.S. To those McNairs and others that lived in places prior to the move to Missouri, such as, Searcy county, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Virginia, please, don't feel left out...email me --- I need your photos and stories, also.
