Growing up, we all hear these wonderful stories about our ancestors.  But we  never know for sure what it or is not true until we start digging into our  roots.   This is how I started researching my family history.  I have alot of  work to do on this website but I want to do it all bit by bit so I can work  out everything that I have obtained over the years and make sure that it all  adds up and makes sense.  It may be some time before I have everything on here  that is in my files but it will get here eventually.  
     Please be aware that not everything in my work is written in stone nor may  it all be right. As for my Carter Lineage, I can prove my ancestry up to  Captain Thomas Carter but then everything I have is speculation.  I have  currently received a will of a Thomas Carter that I believe to be the  grandfather of my Captain but I cannot say so for sure so I will, once again,  remind you that nothing is in stone yet. 
      I want everyone that takes the time to look at this to know that this has  been a work in progress and that you all are most welcome to sign my guest   book and give me advice or anything else that you might want to add to this  site.
