About MYERS AUST II
MYERSAUSTII is about the MEYER/MYERS FAMILY that settled in Donnybrook, Western Australia, circa 1898. What has been built around "Charles Adolphous MYERS" is the mystery of where he originated from. After finding his and his siblings baptism records at the Lutheran Archives, the picture is getting clearer.

After countless hours of research by my sisters, Heather (R.I.P) and Maureen and myself this is what I have so far: Colin William MYERS - me, William Charles MYERS - my father, John Edward MYERS - my grandfather, Charles Adolphus MYERS (born Czar MEYER in Hochkirch(now Tarrington, Victoria, Australia) - my great grandfather, and finally, Johann Peter MEYER (born in Hamburg, Germany) - my great great grandfather.

It is not evident at this stage how and when Johann Peter MEYER arrived in England but on the 22nd of April 1855 JPM boarded the "BRITISH TRIDENT"(written as Johan Mayer age 27) in Liverpool, England; as an unassisted passenger. He arrived in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the 18th of July 1855.

JPW met and married "Catharina Dorothea WOLF" in Melborne, where his first two children, JOHN & MARIA were born, later moving to Hochkirch (now Tarrington), then Ballarat , then back to Hochkirch. There were a total of 13 children born of only a handfull survived to have families of their own.

I hope to be able to continue filling in the missing pieces, as I find them.
