About New Zealand Robinson - Drake
Please sign in to see more.
This website has primarily been created for use by the direct descendants of Frederick William Robinson and Ellen Elizabeth Drake who lived at Kapuka and Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand between 1887 and 1973.

They had six sons, Charles, Jack, Harold, Leslie, Clarence and Mervyn who were born between 1912 and 1921.

It is intended that this website will be used to maintain the Family Tree and document noteable events in the lives of each family member in the tree for future generations.

While much of the direct descendent Family Tree information has been available for some time amongst family members in New Zealand, the tree has been assisted greatly by research material made available from documents prepared by Bruce H Robinson of Burwell near Cambridge in England who also received assistance from Joan and Vernon Robinson in Invercargill. The information from Bruce H Robinson has been of great value in enhancing this website particularly in regard to the ancestors of Frederick William Robinson. This information enhances what was already available from Frederick William Robinson's great grandfather Andrew Robinson by at least another six generations. The information made available from Vernon and Joan Robinson has added greatly to the tree information regarding the families of the seven brothers and five sisters of Frederick William Robinson.

Ancestors are referenced as far back as 1580 and also includes some of the English Robinson's descendents from Frederick William Robinson's great grandfather William.

A special acknowledgement is credited to Brendon Cameron for his work in the book Our Noble Mortons published in association with the Morton Family Reunion in 2008. The content of his book comprised information from this website on the Robinson side, but in addition has provided significant information on the Drake side tracing the Morton family lines back as far as 1731.
Photographs and additional information for use on the website are sought from anyone who is willing to help. This includes updating the family lines of the five Robinson brother's spouses.

Any family member is welcome to contribute to this website by contacting the site administrator at trevorar@xtra.co.nz

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
