About The Rawlinsons of Texas
Welcome to the Rawlinsons of Texas. My mother was an avid genealogist when I
was a child
growing up, and my family history is rich with stories of the Rawlinson family. As I become older,
I realize how important it is to capture all this information for future generations. I believe
that, while we are not defined by our family history, it is still a very important part of who we
are. Time to shake the old Rawlinson tree and see what falls out.

Information on this site has been collected over the course of many years and from many different sources such as US Census Reports, old cemetery records and tombstones, family stories, and many others too numerous to mention. The surname Rawlinson has taken on many different spellings down through the years. It is believed that this is due, in part, to the fact that early Rawlinsons may have been an illiterate people and the name was recorded however it sounded to the person taking the information, i.e., census takers, etc. Wherever possible, I have cited the source of my information on the individual records. I would like to acknowledge my appreciation to my mother, Sybil Collier Rawlinson, for her extensive research into the Rawlinson Family Tree for as many years as I can remember and also Janie Rawlinson Davis for sharing with me her extensive collection of family history as well.

There is information below that will help you navigate this site. I hope you enjoy your visit here
and will get in touch with me if you have information on your particular limb of the tree that you
would like to see included here.

The Rawlinson Family Reunion is the second Saturday in October each year at the McKnight Cemetary, beginning at 10 a.m.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
