About The Shaffer/Underwood Family Tree
My family is a multi-racial family, European's, African's, Indian's, and some combinations of the three racial groups. Many were pioneers, founders of Communities in IN, and OH. Conductor's in the Underground Railroad, helping others get to freedom. Some were freed slaves, who later became wealthy farmers with homes that were mansions during that time. I am very proud of my ancestor's and what they accomplished in their lifetimes and the help that they gave to others trying to find their way to freedom.
