About The Austin Family Tree Please sign in to see more.
Shelley Ginger Austin (Rogers) is a descendant of Solomon Austin Sr., a United Empire Loyalist and one of the first settlers in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada. Solomon was born in 1744 in Orange County, North Carolina. Solomon Austin Sr., is in turn a descendant of one Samuel Austin born circa 1630 near the Welsh border. Samuel died in 1697 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
She also traces her roots to Kingsclere, Hampshire, England to one Joseph Fisher born in 1718.
In 1822, John Law and his wife Deborah McBride and their children Elizabeth, John, William and Samuel emmigrated to Canada from County Down, Ireland. They settled in Woodhouse Township, Norfolk County, Ontario Canada. While Shelley's line can be traced through the younger John, it is through Elizabeth that Senator Robert Joseph Dole of Kansas can trace his Irish/Canadian roots. John Law (the senior) is Shelley's GGGG Grandfather and Senator Robert Dole's GGG Grandfather.

**There is a great debt of gratitude that is owed to Mr. Raymond Babcock for his incredible generosity in the sharing of Law family history. **Equally, to Mr. John Lewis and his Kingsclere database where I find so many of my Fisher ancestors and current day cousins, another debt of gratitude. To the many other cousins near and far, I thank you for your kindnesses. To Susan Stanley...thank you. You were the spark that started all of this. You are dearly missed, each and every day.
This is a work in progress and many families not entered in as yet. I don't claim perfection on this site and if you find an error, please don't hesitate to contact me.
