About Deatherage & Parman Family
Hello,
This site was started by my sister LAURI DEATHERAGE so that she could document family history for her grandchildren. It has grown into a useful, historical site for all of us who are related to and loved Lauri, who passed away in April 2021. I plan to maintain the site as part of her legacy.

Below was the welcome message provided by Lauri. If you’re a part of our family, please feel free to submit information and photos of yourself and your family members who may not currently have pictures here. Thank you for your participation in making Lauri’s project even more meaningful in the future!

Hi, I would like to thank-you for visiting my web-site. My agenda on what is important in my life has been updated since Shawn and Amy got married and I have watched them do an awsome job raising Bentley and Gwen, the two most adorable grandchildren I could ever imagine. Since they have been in my life I have realized so much more that when Mom tried to instill that family is such an important part of life, she really had a reason for doing so. You are who you are because your ancestors did what they did, and they deserve to be remembered long after they are gone. They are not gone as long as they are remembered. While you are looking at this information if you notice any one I left out or information that was left out or incorrect please let me know and I will tell you how to add or edit. I am sure there will be a lot of that for a long time. Thank you Mom,Dad and Amy for the help with information and pictures, and Sandra Cherry's tribal pages gave me information and photos that made this much smoother. Enjoy looking!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
