About Tech Family Genealogy
Welcome to the Tech Family site. First, to be able to explore and, more importantly, edit and up-date your specific family information, you should REQUEST AN INVITATION from Daniel Boyd Tech, the Administrator of this site; it's easy and it's fast; please do it now at the top of this page. If you would like access to add more information, please send a request to the admin of the site. We may contact you individually if you would like to be upgraded from "family member" to "admin".
Secondly, our purpose for this site is to make available, to everyone related to Walter C. Tech and May (Harvey) Tech, most of the ancestral lines that are presently known and to make it possible for individuals to up-date and to keep family records as current as possible. Family- tree books quickly become obsolete if not maintained and expanded as families grow. The primary concept behind this is that everyone keeps their close and present genealogy up to date, but they also have access to the many other family histories available.
Thirdly, we will try to supply the ancestors for the Tech, Henning, Harvey, and Ellis families, plus some others and you can see from the List of Last Names below how extensive the site could become. But, it now becomes complete and up-to-date only if everyone finds their own personal information, makes sure it is current, and adds as much information as they possess to make it as useful as possible.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool. |
