This Family tree begins with William and Mary A (Crawford) Thomas they were married in 1838 Chambers Co. Ala. the censuses give birth place of William as South Carolina. The first five of their children were born in Alabama  by 1850 they were shown living in Pontotoc Co. Mississippi. The next four children are shown to be born there and by 1860 the U S Federal Census shows them to be living in St Francis Co. Arkansas, where the remainder of the children are born. On the 2nd of April 1860 there was a deed issued to William for 80 acres of land,this land is located somewhere near the community of Colt on Ar. Hwy 1 north of Wynne and to my knowledge William died somewhere in that same area before the next Federal Census was taken. My line descends through the eldest child Marion Pinkney Thomas.  I have tried to keep mistakes to a minimum but I know there are probably some if you find them and will let me know I will be glad to correct them.
