 About Marlin, Hamilton
The only information found was that he was born in Ireland. There was a Hamilton Marlin who obtained a land grant between the years of 1850 to 1860, who was probably the Marlin who married Matthew Barr's third daughter Sarah. We are told by the family that he returned form the Civil War an ill man and died soon after. (He many have died before his wife did and and that may account for her daughter, Nancy Turrentine Marlin being raised by Matthew A. Barr and his wife Nancy Turrentine). Hamilton Marlin was born in 1834. He had one daughter with Sara Elizabeth Barr on February 4, 1860. He died in 1863 at the age of 29.
