About Generations of Varnell's & Webb's
Please sign in to see more.
This site is decited to the memory of my parents James A. Varnell & Patsy R.
Varnell, Which we lost both of them in 2003 and who's teaching of our family
history inspired me to get into genealogy, Thanks Mom and Pop, you never will
get to see the book when it's finished, but you saw so much of it and helped
write more then you relaised. For all those who visit this site, I know that
there is alot that is not there but things are being added as time permits me
to work on this site, I have worked very hard to make it as accurate as
possible and to be intersting to everyone, I hope that you have found something
here that helps you in your own research and helps knock down those brick walls
that you have hit, as well as I did, but they can be broken down if you try
hard enouph. If you are new to genealogy and find a relative here then WELCOME
to the family, I love genealogy and tracing those hard to find relatives,
getting down in some old cemetery to wipe clean a grave marker just to see if I
can figure out who they were, yet the same thing always comes to mind, I find
myself wondering about the person, how they lived, what they looked like and
hoping that they are a missing link in my tree that keeps growing and growing.
Remember this our family history is just that HISTORY, unwritten or written it
doesn't matter we are part of a FAMILY that has over come many hardships and
relished in great victorys, if we don't take the time to teach our younger
generations who they are and where we came from then we will cese to be a
family, just another name of a long age family. So please try to teach your
children as my dad tought me and as I teach my children our family is "OUR
HISTORY".
Thank you for visiting this site and good luck DIGGIN' up them roots.
Thoughtfully,
Jim Varnell
I am currently in the process of rebuilding all my electronic files, since I lost everything when
my old computer died, Yes, I had them backed up but not on cd-rom as this is what my new computers
takes. So rebuilding all 10,000 + files and then adding the rest I have gathered over the past
several years. I have the new FTM 2014 addition and I've been working feverishly adding files so
far I have several thousands of files completed, so it's going to take some time but I will get
there and I'll be updating the site as often as I can. Thanks for understanding.
Jim Varnell
I am in need of some help from everyone who is related here, if you have photos of family members
that I have here but no photo of and you would be willing to share please contact me by email and
we can work out how to get them posted here for everyone. Thank you.
