About Corso-Leavy Family Tree
Hi, I'm Vincent Thomas Corso. I began this project in June of 2010 by inputting my Mother's family ancestry which she received from a cousin of hers that had passed away. My mother, Eleanor Marie Leavy Corso, who also passed away some 16 years ago, left me a folder full of information. I started by purchasing Family Tree Maker 2010 off the internet and inputting the data that I had. I then subscribed to Ancestry.com World and began using their hints and searches to find out more about existing known ancestors such as my Uncles, Aunts and Grandparents. I also made several trips to all the cemeteries where I knew we had ancestors buried. All of this provided some very useful information about our family.

After I input everything that I compiled, I contacted my Aunts & Uncle to see what they knew. In doing so I was able to see and scan in some very useful information such as birth certificates, Baptismal certificates, wedding licenses, etc.. I also scanned in some photographs that my grandparents and Aunt had saved. The next source of information came from my cousins who helped fill in many of the blanks. All of this information helped to identify most of our relatives and ancestors that came to the USA, but that is where it ended. Years ago my Mother's cousin had traveled to Ireland and collected a great deal of information on our family and fortunately passed it on to my Mom, which is how I was able to put together the details of my Irish ancestors. I thought I had finally completed our Family Tree with all available information when I stumbled upon an online database entirely focused on my Grandparents home town in Termini Immerse, Sicily. This database contains information on people that were born, Baptized, lived, married, and died in Termini. With this I was able to research my ancestors clear back into the seventeenth century.

If you are a family member who would like a copy of all or part of this data I will more than pleased to share it with you. I also look forward to adding branches to this file if you are working on any family ancestry of your own and would like to see it displayed. If you are a family member and have already been invited, you can add new updates directly, or you can email them to me and I will do it for you. If while exploring this family tree you notice “Living Person” but no name, this is because you have not yet been invited and the person has yet to have a date of death input into their profile. This will also be true for ancestors whose date of death was unknown.

Please Enjoy,

Vince Corso, 9/6/2010

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
