I settled in the UK back in the 1970's in the SW. 
 My mother left England after 32 years to move back to the part of the world she called home. She  has settled in New Zealand with my sister and husband. When she left I felt very much alone and  this was when I decided to start looking into my family tree.  Our origins are mostly from Australia and I have managed to trace my mothers 'Wade' side back to  Peterborough in UK. Alot of the basic information received from my mother. So far I have collected  facts but still need to find a living contact in the UK to this part of the family.  My father's surname of Hughes seems to be difficult to go back more than a few generations. There  was talk of Sir Percy Spender being a sibling to my father's grandmother.
