I have new info to add to my family tree and want to add someone as an administrator. Haven't been to my page here for quite some time. Can someone tell me how to add an administrator please? Thanks!

I have tried to go to EDIT, then DASHBOARD, but I just don't see a link on the DASHBOARD called "ADD". Can you be more descriptive as to where the ADD link is on the DASHBOARD please? Thanks!

Hi Les. I don't quite follow your advice as far as my site is concerned. I am curious as to why my site seems different. If I go to edit > dashboard, I do not see the word "administrators" in the center column. I am signed in as administrator. It says that above the dashboard. The following is a pasted copy of my dashboard. No sign of the word administrator. If the dashboard wording varies between sites it does not help when giving advice to other members.

You are correct. I do have the privacy as "membership model". I will leave it that way as I was just wondering why there was a difference in dashboard wording. I have tried it on one of my non subscription sites and sure enough when the privacy is "website access code" the word "administrators" does appear.

I am happy (as are my family members, I hope) so I will not change my setup.

I obviously meant that I do not like others to be able to EDIT any part of the site, as more harm can be done.I alter as I wish to, as long as the others tell me want they would like to add, and I agree that it is needed.

Never have liked others with the power of administrator.even limited.

Best to you both

Re your second paragraph. That's why I set my privacy to "membership model (as recommended)". As a result I had never seen my dashboard showing the word "administrator". I am certainly going to leave it that way and I think that most Tribalpages members would be using the membership model.

As the tree owner go to edit > dashboard > send invitations. Here you can invite a person to be an administrator or alter an existing members role. See left side for member options - guest/administrator etc.
