Why am I getting an error saying must be less than 2999 characters in the description field when my description is only 775 characters.

hi Chuck, do not know what text that you have entered , but spaces commas and full stops also count.

Hi Les,

Even counting spaces, and punctuation I don't think it adds up and if it does, I think it is very deceptive.

I may have to create a test page and try it out.

Hi Chuck, this is correct

For Photos Description...2999 9Caption...99

As I mentioned I do not know what Text you have entered, but as you point out, it does not seem that amount..

Why dont you copy the Text , so as you will not lose it. Then remove it from the description box, and re enter it again, just in case there is was a glitch when you first entered it.

That is what I would have done, if I had known your TEXT, so as I could have tested it.

You are very right, every little space, punctuation, and return is counted. I tested it, wasn't what I expected.
