Hi Len so as there is no confusion. Do you want the FONT size larger to read as opposed to altering the FONT.

If so if you go to the top of your WEB PAGE you will see VIEW, Click on this and you will see TEXT SIZE. You can now select any of the five options

LARGEST

LARGER

MEDIUM

SMALLER

SMALLEST

Also under ZOOM you can increase the SIZE of your PAGE.from standard to more than 400 per cent

If you want to change your TEXT that you enter on the HOME PAGE or STORY PAGE then you use the HTML.

You cannot change the SOURCE PAGE only your own entries in HOME page and STORY PAGE.

To get it larger just alter the 4 to say 6/7/8 etc.

Hope that this makes sense

g'day les,

i feel like i am being a nuisance, this font size i am typing in is perfect, the link you sent failed so i did my own search where i found i already had "times roman 18" but tribal pages showed as normal "times roman 10" or whatever, so i change the font to TR 16, which only activates when i open a family members page, tribal pages preceding pages remain TR10. yet in MS outlook the very 1st page i open is in my selected font, i do not understand

so maybe best left alone sorry for any inconvenience

take care have a wonderful new year

as foot note when i go to the preview pane the font reduces to TR10

Hi Len,

I see you have said that you don't want to zoom. I don't use Firefox much but I have just had a look at my home page using Firefox. I normally have my print set on 125%. I clicked on the "open menu" icon at top right of page and zoomed to 133%. Why not give that a try. Looks good to me and I should use it myself.

Thanks Alan, for checking. I did mention ZOOM .

I entered into GOOGLE

Firefox make text larger and this and others came up

***********************

Set the text size for all web pages you visit

Step 1: Open the 'Fonts' window. Click on 'Firefox' in the menu bar, or press Ctrl + F2 to highlight the menu bar and then press the right arrow key, to open the 'Firefox' drop-down menu as shown in Fig 1. ...

Step 2: Set a minimum text size for all web pages you visit.

*************************

It does seem that by doing this it may solve TEd's problem with FIREFOX

Best to you both

Les

Hi Alan as I mentioned earlier it was in GOOGLE

***************************

Tools>Options>Content>Fonts&Colors>Advanced

Set minimum font size that you are comfortable with. This will be your default font size for all web pages.

You can even set the font type in the same page (Arial, Times Roman, Sans serif etc).

If you want, you can uncheck the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts" box in the same page so that all webpages will have the same font type and the same font size you have chosen.

I have set mine to Arial 16 as minimum size. My eyes are saved from font abuse. :)

Regards

Les

I find GOOGLE excellant for anything like this

Hi Les,

I usually use Google myself but Len said he was using Firefox. That's why I tried Firefox. An interesting experiment. I increased Firefox font size to 24 to see what happened and it upset the layout of my T/P home page by enlarging the html headings far too much. Therefore have given that up. Set it back to 18. If I want to increase Firefox print size of my T/P site I will zoom to suit.

However as you do I will continue to routinely use Google.

Hi Les,

The flowers are coming on fine. Not as colourful overall, as my garden at old property although you will not believe that just from looking at this photo taken a few days ago.

If any Tribalpages members reading this are interested in flower gardening there is a video on my T/P home page (click on icon at top of this message). No longer at that property. The house has been demolished due to earthquake damage.

My apologies for showing garden photo's on the Technical forum page. I will not make a habit of that.

Best regards,

Alan
