Hi John, do not know how many Names that you are talking about, and if the following would be worth it.

Member " Marie" may be able to help. I was thinking that possibly there are FREE Family Tree sites that will do this, on your PC if you download your GEDCOM to it. Then if it had been done you could then UPLOAD your Altered GEDCOM back to tribal Pages. This will then OVERWRITE your Original.

If this can be done I would Suggest openining a FREE Tribal Pages site, and upload to there first, to see if it is what you wanted, if it is, you could then OVEWRITE your ORIGINAl..

All rests on " MARIES's" answer.

All the best

Les is right , you can only delete one name at a time. If you have a lot you want to delete, your best bet is transferring the gedcom into a genealogy software program and using that.

I have Roots magic (there is a free version and also Legacy, Ancestral Quest and others) and can delete a person and all their ancestors or descendents in one click, or I can select from a list.

Then when you have the file the way you want it, create a new gedcom and overwrite the old one. You will, of course have to still delete the pictures.
