CREATING A WEB DUPLICATE

I have asked 4 times how to BUY/SUBSCRIBE a duplicate web site of the one I already have. I have had no response. It seems like it would be easy to do. WHY NO REPLY??

I am a faithful paying subscriber.

Hi John, I am slightly confused.

If you need a site exactlty as the one that you have Just open up a FREE site and upload the GEDCOM of the site that you have. You will have now a copy of te other one, without the Photographs , plus possily a few small items.You can now adjust this Free site

See if this will suffice. If you do not have the GEDCOM as per your Original site, just Download this from your site, save it in a Folder on your PC, then Upload it to the Free site.

Hope this may help you, if I have undestood what you mean.

Les...thank you for your reply. What I want is to have a duplicate of my site to give to my relatives so they can access the information without going into my site. I have a site THE EXTENDED FAMILY...with no data on it.

I don't know how to create or get the GEDCOM. Can I use the THE EXTENDED FAMILY site and can you talk me thru the uploading of the GEDCOM or do it for me?

Hi John, sign into your site as Administrator then select Edit you will see the page as my SCREEN SHOT BELOW

Click on Backup /Download, and you will see the instructions to BACKUP first then DOWNLOAD to a Folder on your PC. You will now have a GEDCOM of your SITe on your PC.

You now open up your EXTENDED FAMILY site, and do the same as Above but UPLOAD the GEDCOM from your FOLDER in your PC.

You will now have a copy of your original site in EXTENDED FAMILY.

You will then be able to let your FAMILY use the EDIT on this site by giving them permission.

The main thing is when you have Downloaded the GEDCOM, do not attempt to Upload it to your Original Site which I believe to be ----hsiung-----
