My main tree is on Ancestry if I upload a Gedcom file including new information it will overwrite the information on Tribal Pages so if a member has updated their info any changes will be overwritten my the Gedcom, has anybody a solution to this problem or should I maintain control over editing and ask that they let me know what changes they want to make and I add it

Hi Graham you have answered your own Question

should I maintain control over editing and ask that they let me know what changes they want to make and I add it.

I have always found it safer to keep control.

Good Morning Graham.

Yes i would do that . I do not trust anyone other than myself to maintain my site.

I expect you like me have taken years to get your tree together, and yet wthin a few seconds this can be ruined.

The thing is there is no way of knowing what has been altered, unless you constantly check your tree , so you may as do it yourself, also this way you will find out more information that would be hidden .
