Deleting my account in its entirety

I wish to delete my account and I also wish Tribal Pages to remove my email address from their system. I have contacted TP by email about this on two occasions, but have not received any reply. I understand from other forum posts that TP has a very poor reputation when it comes to replying; this has certainly been my own experience.

Feeling frustrated, I manually deleted every single name and source from my TP pages. I set the privacy settings to the highest level possible, e.g. specifying that the account should not be finadable by search engines. As a result, the account is now just an empty shell. Yet I still cannot delete it.

I originally joined TP in April 2014, as a free member and then took out a subscription for one year. The year expired in 2015 and I have not renewed the sub. Please note that I had only ever used TP as a back-up for my work;when my research method changed, I no longer had any need of the account.

When I joined TP, I noted the assurance that a user's data remained the property of the user. Why then can I not I delete my account? I have no wish to pay a new subscription.

I hope someone out there can provide an answer.

Hi Jill just went on TP search and cannot find your Site, also the same on GOOGLe.

Many thanks, Les, for running that test for me. It was very kind of you.

I too have run tests with search engines, and my account does not show up. Good. I have also just re-run some tests within TP, searching for some of the unusual surnames in my tree. A few days ago, they were still showing up with a link to my TP page, but a few minutes ago they weren't. Good.

On the negative side, I am still able to sign in to my account, i.e. my email address and password have been retained. I hope the techies will be able to do something about that and then, as a matter of courtesy, let me know that everything has been deleted.
