Import Failing

I uploaded a large file 2-3 days ago (15000+names), and after clicking 'Import Names', it was put in a queue for processing! I have had no response since (i.e. no confirming e-mail), yet my existing tree has been erased!

I tried re-loading the file today, but when I tried to 'Import Names', I was informed there was already a file in queue for processing!

Q1. What is criteria for placing processing in a queue? Some files are processed straight away, yet others are placed in a queue!

Q2 Why is it taking so long to process my file?

Q3 Is it possible for the status of the 'Import Names' process to be displayed somewhere, so that users can be re-assured their file IS still being processed, and has not fallen in a black hole?

It has now been 5 days since my site went down - not a very happy customer!!!
