Magnus George Merck, was born in 1900 in Paris, Arkansas in Logan County. His dad, Carl Merck, emigrated to America in 1880 from Germany to NY and ended up in Logan County Arkansas by the early 1890's. Married a Swiss born Anna Baerlocher who was from Illinois.
