I am struggling to find any family for Ann (Nancy) Chattin (Chatten) who shows up on the LDS Family Search database as having married my ancestor Richard Garbett at Clent, Worcestershire, 14 March 1798. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Richard and Nancy moved to Rushall, Staffordshire where they started the family which leads to my mother in New Zealand

According to the transcript of Clent marriages to which I have access, provided by 'The Genealogist' Richard Garbett married an Ann CHATTERIS on 14 March 1798, she was a spinster and he a bachelor at the time and both were residents of the parish of Rowley Regis, which I understand was in Staffordshire then. I cannot find a baptism for either in that parish which may be because the parish records covering that period are not available online or possibly they were born elsewhere and only residing there temporarily.

As there is a discrepancy in the spelling of Ann's surname I suggest that you arrange to see the original via the LDS or Worcester Record Office.

Thank you for that - I have an LDS office nearby, so I will see what they have.
