I am trying to find My #5 grandmother Delilah Amelia Vann's birth certificate. She was born in 1795 and was married to Capt. David McNair, #5 grandfather. Does anyone have any idea if they even had birth certificates back then? Her daughter, Mary Vann McNair later married John McClain. Delilah was a strong and wonderful woman, whom I admire and want to honor.

They did not have many registrations back then. They were very spotty. I f you have names and dates then you can come up with more.
