Wow....

I just read how Family Tree Maker is going to be discontinued at the end of the year.

I remember the day I walked in to a small software store in the shopping Mall looking for something to record all these papers my mom had just handed over to me. And there it was, a big box called "Family Tree Maker" my eyes lit up with surprise. The first program out with it's 5 x 3 disk. I was in love!

Apparently Ancestry.com will not sell new versions. And they won't allow you to sync your Ancestry tree to your desktop version. But you can still use your older versions of Family Tree maker program to store data on your computer. I have newer versions (to sync), but I still love my old 2005 version for personal use.
