Elizabeth was married to David Wortman. They lived in Easton PA around 1800. David died in Easton in 1806 and Elizabeth and her 2 sons travelled to Rockford IL in 1848. She died and was buried in Kilbuck cemetery in Ogle Cty IL in 1856. I can't seem to find her maiden name or her origins. The same goes with her husband David.

Can someone help me?

Thank you Robert. I have all of that info but I can't seem to go any further back with both Elizabeth and David. Some say that we are German (Pennsylvania Dutch) and some say that we could be Dutch. The name Wortman could be either!

It's driving me crazy!!!

Thank you for your help!

You are welcome. I've been doing this since 2008 when I first started researching my family. After hitting almost every site there is out there and finding a bit of info, I joined Ancestry.com a few years ago and that's then I really started finding information. Well worth the bucks.

Right now I'm maintaining both sites. I created a GEDCOM file at ancestry.com and loaded to my Tribal tree.

Unfortunately it turns out that this Elizabeth married a fellow by the name of William Old and died in 1872 near Philadelphia.

I will keep plugging!
