Hilda was married to Frank Jerome Weaver (born in Sioux City, Iowa) and lived in IL. We believe she was born in Finland. She was divorced from Frank but they had four children. Ralph, Francis Jerome Weaver (aka Jerry), Shirley, and Guinevere (aka Winnie). Need birth date of Hilda and any death date. Hilda may have died in IL.

Randall, this is great! I do have two issues, though. One is the marriage license says Francis J. Weaver, which is always what I thought his name to be. Other sites (like the children of Byron, say child is Frank Weaver). Hildas obit says Frank as well and he was known as Frank or F.J. All other info is correct. My Aunts Winnie and Shirley. I was always told by my father that when he came back from WWII, his parents had divorced and the family split loyalties for many years. Frank then married Margorie Bender from Wheaton, IL and they lived in Chicago. Don't know the date, but would be curious if it was divorce or after Hilda died.

Frank is a common nickname for Francis. I'm sure he was always referred to as Frank by friends & family and that is why he appears as Frank on census records and in Hilda's obit.

But you will notice on official records, such as his marriage record, WWI Draft Registration, & birth record of his children, his name appears as Francis.

A draft registration card I got from another source he put Frank on it, the date of birth was correct, his mothers name Hilda is correct, Chicago was correct and darn it, the signature (buried in back of my memory) was spot on. Didn't know you could put a nickname on it...lol.
