Flatrock is a fishing community just north of St. John's, NL. it was settled by mostly Irish Catholics in the early days. The Stamps, Martins, Parsons, Fitzgeralds, Obriens, Thrones and others settled there. I am decended ffrom the Fitzgerald's and Stamps of Flatrock. The oldest stamp is Richard who married Maria Mary Fitzgerald in the RC Church in Flatrock. I have a jack (John) Stamp b. Wexford Ireland in about 1770, Margaret Martin in 1775, John Stamp 1830 and so forth. Margaret Mary Stamp 12 Dec. 1862 and died 15 Jan 1923 at her residence 10 Quidi Vidi road St. John's, NL I have more but this should survice for now. Thanks, Sarah

Just a member of TribalPages and Ancestry.com. I know how hard it is to find information about your family and before joining Ancestry I had to do things the hard way. Now that I joined Ancestry along with their European information, I like helping others who don't have access to this information.

Glad I could help.
