name on milnrow ,uk,war memorial

can anybody help me to find out who J.Crowther is ? The name appears on the local War Memorial at Milnrow,(near Rochdale),Greater Manchester,uk.as a casualty of WW2

I have strong connections to Milnrow,my great Uncle & Aunt lived there & eventually ,my Mam & Dad.

My Great uncle was James Henry Crowther 1883-1951,one of his Siblings was Jeffrey Crowther Born 1873 in Rochdale,could it be him ? I know he would have been about 66 years of age,but so were some of the officers.

Parents are...Henry Crowther born c1848,Halifax,

Yorkshire,uk.

Mothers Surname unknown...Maria born c1848,Rochdale,Lancashire,uk.

Hello Bill,

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission record 8 deaths of a CROWTHER, serving with British Forces in WW 2, with the initial J.

None of them are named Jeffrey.
